The Giro Coalition Spherical is a lightweight full-face helmet engineered for riders who want maximum protection without the bulk. Spherical Technology Powered by Mips
The Coalition uses Giro’s Spherical Technology, a ball-and-socket liner system that allows the outer liner to rotate around the inner liner during a crash. This helps redirect rotational forces away from the brain and eliminates direct contact with hard slip-planes against the skin. Spherical Technology’s ball-and-socket design helps redirect impact forces away from the brain.
Progressive Layering
A combination of EPP and EPS foam manages both high-speed and low-speed impacts. This dual-density layering improves energy absorption across a wider range of crash scenarios, enhancing protection without adding unnecessary weight.
Halo System Chinbar
The patent-pending Halo System uses a Pebax chinbar with elastomeric bushings integrated into the EPS to absorb and dissipate kinetic forces. This design exceeds standard chinbar deflection certification testing by almost two times, providing significantly increased protection for aggressive riding.
Ventilation and Cooling
Massive front intake ports feed deep internal channels that push cool air over the scalp, while large rear exhaust vents release heat efficiently. This Wind Tunnel inspired system delivers exceptional cooling power on long descents and warm-weather rides.
Comfort and Fit
The DryCore sweat management brow pad uses an internal silicone bead to redirect moisture away from the eyes. Ionic+ padding provides permanent odour control, and two sets of removable cheek pads allow fine-tuning of fit. The Directional Snap System enables cheek pad removal in emergencies without disturbing head or neck position.
