The Giro Helios Spherical is a premium road and gravel helmet built for riders who want advanced protection, exceptional ventilation and long-distance comfort. Designed around Giro’s Spherical Technology powered by Mips, the Helios uses a ball-and-socket liner system that manages rotational forces while improving overall impact performance. With Progressive Layering, 15 Wind Tunnel vents and the Roc Loc 5 Air fit system, it delivers high-end cooling and stability for demanding rides. Plush Ionic+ padding adds permanent odour control, making the Helios a top choice for performance-focused cyclists.
Spherical Technology Powered by Mips
The Helios uses Giro’s Spherical Technology, a ball-and-socket design that allows the outer liner to rotate around the inner liner during a crash. This helps redirect impact forces away from the brain and eliminates direct contact with hard slip-planes against the skin. Spherical Technology allows the helmet’s outer liner to rotate around the inner liner during a crash.
Progressive Layering
Two densities of EPS foam manage both high-speed and low-speed impacts, improving energy absorption across a wider range of crash scenarios. This layered approach enhances protection without adding unnecessary weight.
Wind Tunnel Ventilation
Fifteen Wind Tunnel vents combine with internal channeling to push cool air over the scalp and exhaust heat efficiently. This system is engineered to deliver noticeable cooling power on long climbs and hot summer rides. Giro helmets are developed utilizing our proprietary Wind Tunnel ventilation system.
Roc Loc 5 Air Fit System
The Roc Loc 5 Air system suspends the helmet slightly above the skull to increase airflow and improve comfort. Fit tension and fore-aft tilt can be adjusted with one hand, allowing quick fine-tuning during a ride. Roc Loc 5 allows you to easily custom tune the fit tension and fore-aft tilt of the helmet in seconds using a single hand.
Ionic+ Padding
Antimicrobial Ionic+ padding uses silver fibres to provide natural, permanent odour control. It absorbs sweat effectively and keeps the helmet feeling fresh on long or repeated rides.
Premium Construction
