Description
Nukeproof Scout 290 Comp Hardtail Mountain Bike
The Nukeproof Scout 290 Comp is a hardcore hardtail built for riders who want to develop their skills and push their progression on real trails. A hardtail demands smooth riding, good line choice and proper technique, and the Scout rewards riders who commit to the terrain. With no rear suspension to hide mistakes, you learn to stay light through rough ground, pump for speed and stay controlled when the trail gets technical. If you can be fast on a hardtail, you can be fast on anything.
The Scout is born from a gravity-focused mindset. It is designed to attack singletrack, session technical lines and deliver fun on every ride. The latest generation uses updated geometry and a refined riding position to balance climbing efficiency with stability on steep and rough descents. Agile, playful and capable well beyond expectation, the Scout encourages creativity and confidence on the trail.
More than just a bike, the Scout has built a loyal community of riders who appreciate the purity and challenge of a true hardcore hardtail. The third-generation Scout is the best version yet, carrying the same attitude and character that has made it a favourite among riders who enjoy pushing themselves.

Strong Aluminium Frame With Progressive Geometry
The Scout uses a tough 6061 aluminium frame designed around Nukeproof’s gravity-inspired geometry. The riding position is balanced for climbing and descending, giving you stability at speed and agility in tight sections. The frame is built to handle rough terrain and encourages confident, committed riding.
Smooth And Controlled Suspension
A RockShox Pike Base fork with 140 mm of travel provides support and control on technical trails. The 44 mm offset keeps steering predictable, while the stiff chassis adds confidence when pushing hard through rough ground.
Reliable Drivetrain And Brakes
SRAM Eagle 70 T-Type shifting delivers precise performance with a wide range 10 to 52 tooth cassette for steep climbs and fast descents. SRAM DB8 Stealth brakes provide consistent stopping power with a simple, durable layout suited to hard trail use.
Trail Ready Components
A Nukeproof Neutron cockpit offers stability and control with an 800 mm handlebar and 50 mm stem. The X-Fusion Manic 170 mm dropper post adds confidence on steep terrain. Schwalbe Magic Mary 2.4 inch tyres provide grip and support on loose and technical trails, helping the Scout stay composed when pushed hard.
