Why Choose a 29 Inch Mountain Bike?
The Tracker 290 Pro uses 29 inch wheels, which help maintain momentum and roll smoothly over roots, rocks and uneven ground. Compared with smaller 27.5 inch wheels, the larger wheel format offers improved rollover capability, making it particularly well suited to longer rides, woodland trails and mixed terrain.
100 mm RockShox Air Suspension
The RockShox Judy Silver Air fork provides 100 mm of front suspension travel, helping absorb bumps and maintain control on rougher surfaces. Its air-sprung design allows the suspension to be adjusted for rider weight, while the TurnKey lockout provides a firmer setting for smoother paths and climbs.
Shimano CUES 11-Speed Gearing
The Shimano CUES 1×11 drivetrain features an 11-50T cassette, providing a wide range of gears for climbing hills and maintaining speed on flatter terrain. The single front chainring keeps shifting simple, making it suitable for riders developing their mountain biking skills.
Hydraulic Disc Brakes and Maxxis Tyres
Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes provide controlled stopping power in wet and dry conditions. Maxxis Rekon 29 x 2.4 inch tyres offer a balance of off-road grip and rolling efficiency for trails, gravel tracks and everyday riding.
Versatile Aluminium Frame
The 6061 T6 aluminium frame features modern geometry designed to balance stability and manoeuvrability. Mounting points for compatible racks, mudguards and stands add practicality for commuting, leisure riding and longer adventures.
